In some cases when a new listing is published or changes to a listing have been made, they do not update on your website right away. This is due to caching in the EstateVue plugin.

What is Caching?

The browser cache is a temporary storage location on your computer for files downloaded by your browser to display websites. Files that are cached locally include any documents that make up a website, such as html files, CSS style sheets, JavaScript scripts, as well as graphic images and other multimedia content.

Why is it Important?

When you revisit a website, the browser checks which content was updated in the meantime and only downloads updated files or what is not already stored in the cache. This reduces bandwidth usage on both the user and server side and allows the page to load faster. Hence, the cache is especially useful when you have a slow or limited Internet connection.

Does caching prevent new users from seeing my new listings?

No, any new visitors to your site will download a fresh / new copy of your website, allowing them to see the new information.  Caching only affects websites that have been to your site before.

How long does the cache last?

The cache is currently set to 24 hours, but it can be modified in the admin for lower increments to minimum value of 1 hour.

How to clear the Estatevue plugin cache

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to clear the EstateVue plugin cache to see your listing changes:

1. Login to the backend of your WordPress website.
   
2. Hover over "EstateVue" in the left hand menu and click on "Settings"
   
3. On the "Settings' page scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will see a link that says "Clear Cache." Click that link.
   
4. The cache will now be cleared and the page will reload. Once this process has finished you will see a notification at the top of the page letting you know that the cache has been cleared.
   
5. Now go back to the front end of your website to the listings page. Refresh the browser and your listing updates should now show up.
6. You are done!

1. Login to your EstateVue Admin Panel.
   
2. Then in the menu on the left hand side click on "Listings" and then "Manage Featured Listings."
   
3. You will be taken to the "Manage Featured Listings" page. Click on the listing you wish to edit.
4. You will now see the listing details and a row of buttons above the details. Click on the button labeled "Virtual Tour."
   
5. This is where you can add the External Virtual Tour link in the field labeled "Enter your virtual tour URL:"
   
6. Then click the "Save Link" button followed by the "Save" button at the top or bottom right of your screen.
   
7.  The last step would be to check your listing to ensure the Virtual Tour was posted correctly. Go to your website and click on the listing in question. The Virtual Tour button will show up below your listing photos.

What About QR Codes for My Listings?

For EstateVue SEARCH or Custom build websites, you can simply visit the listing details page and copy its URL from the address bar as described above.If you have a WeBuild (template) website solution, here's how to find the URL for a particular listing:

1. Log into your website management with your username and password
2. Hover over "Listings" from the top menu and click "Manage Featured Listings"
3. Next to each of your featured listings is a row of small icons on the right.  Click the icon that looks like a little chain link. This will take you directly to the listing page.
4. From here, you can copy the URL from the address bar.  The URL will look something like this:http://v2.estatevue.com/platform/kelowna/coryalexander/search/detail/freehold-255-still-pond-pl-kelowna-bc-canada-v1y-9s6-id-476797.html
5. Put the URL in this free QR code generator to get your code: http://qrcode.kaywa.com/

1. Begin by logging into your Estatevue admin with your username and password.
2. Click "Listings" from the top menu to get to the Manage Featured Listings page.
3. Click the "Add/New" button to open an empty listing template.  All the possible listing information is organized into tabs on the left.
4. Fill in the basic details of the listing under "General Information", then click "Save and Continue".  Then you can add the rest of the listing details/photos/etc using the tabs on the left.
5. When you're finished, click "Save".

Please keep in mind that listings added in this way will not be automated in the future.  If your office gains access to automated listings, please ask EstateVue to replace your listing with a fully automated version.

Begin by logging into your EstateVue Control Panel with your username and password, then click "Tools" from the top menu.

1. Click the "Listing Status" tab on the left
2. Click "Add" to put a new status on the list
3. Click in its label box (or any label you want to edit) to type in the new status
4. You can click the [ -] next to any status to delete it
5. Click Update to finish your changes

Now you'll be able to choose your new status when editing a listing's details, and that status will show via a banner across the listing in many of our listings widgets.

1. Login to your EstateVue Admin Panel.
   
2. Then in the menu on the left hand side click on "Listings" and then "Manage Featured Listings."
   
3. In Manage Featured Listings, find the drop-down menu that says “Show Published” and change it to “Show Unpublished”, then click search. Here's where you may see the old listings that have gone inactive since you joined EstateVue.
   
4. Click on the button under the Publish column, it will say "OFF" by default. Once clicked it will change to "ON." (this makes it visible to the public).
   
5. Next click the "Activate/Deactivate IDX Synchronization" icon. This will deactivate the sync so that the data feed will not see the deactivated listing and remove it.
   
6. Finally, click the listing's address to edit its details, and change the Listing Status to "Sold". Click "Save" when you're done.

1. Upload your video to YouTube, then visit the page for that video.  Highlight then Copy (Ctrl-C) the video page's URL from your browser's address bar.  The URL should look something like this:https://youtu.be/In_hPY_YFxO
2. Log into your Manage Featured Listings page, and click on the listing you want to edit.
3. Click the "Videos" tab on the left.
4. From here, you can give your video a title, and past (Ctrl-V) the URL you copied from YouTube in Step 1.
5. Click "Save Link" and the video should upload.
6. If you have more than one video, you can change their order by dragging the thumbnails.

EstateVue's new search tool is a powerful, fun, and easy way to search through listings and view all their details.  If you want this tool integrated seamlessly into your EstateVue site for free, just contact support@estatevue.com.  Below is an overview of some of its features.

Refining Your Search

1. Type a city, address, or postal code into the Location field to view listings in that area.
2. Refine your search by minimum/maximum price, # of bedrooms, and / or # of bathrooms by dragging the gray slider buttons.
3. For more options, click a parameter to expand the view, or click "show all" to expand all options.

Map View

1. Click anywhere on the map and drag to change your location.
2. Click the + or - buttons (or drag the slider) on the zoom bar to zoom in and out.
3. Click Map, Satellite, or Hybrid to change the level of detail shown.
4. Hover over a listing marker to view basic details, or click it to see more.  Click "More Info" to go to the Details page.

List View

1. Click the List tab to see listings in a tile view with photo thumbnails.
2. Hover over a listing, and click "view map" to return to map view, or click "details" to visit the Details page.

The Details Page

This page displays all relevant information about a particular listing.

1. To browse through photos, simply click the arrows, or hover over the bottom bar of the photo pane to select from a thumbnail overview.
2. To view images in full-screen mode, click the full-screen icon in the top-right corner of the photo pane.
3. Click the "View the map" tab to see a map of the neighborhood, or click "Street View" to view a photo panorama of the address from Google Street View (not available for all regions).
4. Share a listing via Email, Twitter, Facebook, and more, simply by clicking one of the mini-icons at the top right.
5. Click "Back to Search" to return to Map Search View.
